Hardware Engineer (Junior or Senior)
The Role:
In this role you will be responsible for developing test and customer demonstration PCBs and application configurations for APS ICs. You will benchmark competitor products, validate PCIe performance compliance of APS products, maintain up-to-date documentation, and design verification and validation systems. You will lead the development of application notes and datasheets. You will also design packaging with APS IC engineers.
Duties:
- Development of PCBs
- Development of customer application demonstrators
- PCIe validation and verification compliance testing
- Setting up automated testing
- Application note and datasheet development
- Packaging design
Required Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- experience with the design of PCBs (Altium/Cadence Tools)
- experience developing application demonstrators.
- experience with high-speed hardware design.
- experience with test automation.
- Excellent written and spoken English.

Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer
The Role:
In this role you will be required to design and develop integrated circuits for high-speed clocking applications (CPU/PCIe applications and Low jitter, low phase noise clock generation). Working with the CTO and senior IC design engineers you will undertake design, simulations, layout, and documentation of specific circuits. You will use Python for behavioural design and you will be expected to generate technical reports on the performance of your design. You will assist with the development of test, verification, and validation plans and you will undertake bench-level testing of fabricated parts.
Duties:
- integrated circuit design, simulations, and layout using Cadence Design Tools
- Behavioural-level design using Python
- Documentation of designs
- Developing and implementing test plans
- Assisting with development of packaging requirements
- Verification and Validation
- Bench-top testing including automation of testing
Required Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Transistor-level design (experience with high-speed clocking circuits, PLLs, D/VCOs, etc. a plus);
- Cadence Design Suite Tools experience;
- Behavioural-level design using Python;
- Operating test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, power supply, spectrum analyser, etc.);
- Setting up automated testing using FPGAs and test equipment;
- Hardware design (PCB design experience a plus);
- Excellent written and verbal English.
